Is there anything Hofstra’s Charles Jenkins can’t do? He plays more minutes in a season than some starters play in a career, but it’s never kept him from scoring, and doing so at an incredibly efficient rate. He’s D-I’s active leader in points, while his 23.5 points per game this year ranks sixth in the nation. The Pride, 11-6 this season, have gotten better each year he’s been on the court.

As recapped by the Wilmington StarNews’ Brian Mull, Jenkins’ minor feat of scoring eight points on one possession last season began a chain of events that eventually led to a heated team meeting between then-coach Benny Moss and his players. Moss was axed the next day, which opened the door for new coach Buzz Peterson, who has the Seahawks back among the CAA contenders after two miserable seasons.
